Patients with atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, may have a variety of related disorders, including intense itching, asthma, seasonal allergies, food allergies, difficulty sleeping, impaired mental health, nutritional problems and other skin and medical issues.


Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic relapsing and remitting skin condition that involves a cycle of intense itching of the skin and skin lesions. It is a common skin disease that can affect 1 in 5 infants. Atopic dermatitis can affect sleep quality, mood/behaviors and can cause infections and dietary restrictions. Our Combined Allergy/Immunology and Dermatology Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic that offers comprehensive evidence-based care in teaching patients and families how to optimally care for their child’s atopic dermatitis.
