What To Expect at an Urgent Care Center

Here is what you can expect before heading to our centers to be seen by our urgent care staff:

Check Wait Times

Check estimated wait times here on this page, at any time. Our centers are open when your regular pediatrician is closed. Hours of operation for each Urgent Care center are listed below.

Open Late and on All Holidays

We know holidays and days off tend to be more accident-prone, so our urgent cares stay open. Our urgent cares treat sprains, strains and fractures, and if it is something more serious, we do quick transport to the Phoenix Children’s main campus; getting your son or daughter in our emergency department—before the line—for immediate expert care.

Point of Care Testing

We offer point-of-care tests including rapid strep tests, urine testing and more, with test results coming back to patient families as soon as minutes or hours in most cases.

Advanced Diagnostics

All PCH urgent cares offer X-rays and EKGs. Additionally, our physician and nursing staff trained in pediatric medicine, able to diagnose and treat young patients – not always a capability at other quick-care or imaging centers.

Flu Treatment

We clinically diagnose and treat flu in accordance with CDC guidelines. Urgent care staff treat patients who show signs of flu, rather than relying on inaccurate rapid flu tests prior to administering treatment.
