Phoenix Children’s Named to Becker’s Healthcare “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare – 2019” List for Sixth Straight Year

For the sixth year in a row, Phoenix Children’s Hospital has been recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as one of “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare,” and is one of only seven children’s hospitals in the nation named to the 2019 list. The hospital continues to receive acknowledgement for its robust wellness program and high marks in employee satisfaction.

“Putting our employees first is something we work at continuously” said Page Bachman, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Phoenix Children’s. “When staff are engaged and know they have a voice that is valued, they feel respected, and our patients and community notice a difference. We are strongly committed to maintaining avenues for open communication, which include our Positive Employee Relations Council (PERC) and a bi-weekly “Breakfast with Bob” hosted by our CEO, Bob Meyer. It’s rewarding to see our efforts continue to be externally recognized.”

Phoenix Children’s is a strong advocate for helping employees strike a healthy work-life balance. As a testament to its efforts, 89 percent of the employees at Phoenix Children’s recently participated in a survey that placed the hospital in the 90th percentile for overall employee satisfaction. In addition, Phoenix Children’s was recently ranked among the top 10 healthiest employers in Arizona.  Even still, leaders at the Hospital continually seek out areas for improvement.  Phoenix Children’s recently added an onsite wellness center, and it offers employees Apple Watches and rewards them with gift cards for keeping regular fitness activities like checking into their gyms and staying on track with fitness goals.

Additional employee benefits include an excellent tuition reimbursement program and a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with a generous employer match and no waiting period for eligible employees to vest.
