He then furthered his education at West Virginia University, earning a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology in 2017 and his PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2020. Dr. Gallegos completed both a pediatric psychology internship and a residency at Phoenix Children's. He is certified as a perinatal mental health counselor by Postpartum Support International.

Dr. Gallegos has authored several publications throughout his career. In addition, he recently presented at the National Network of NICU Psychologists Annual Conference (2022) and the Phoenix Children's Fetal Cardiology Symposium (2021).

Outside his practice, Dr. Gallegos enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as his two dogs.
