About Jonathan D. Jerman, MD

Jonathan Jerman, MD, FASA, is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Phoenix Children's.

Raised in Phoenix, Dr. Jerman was already aware that Phoenix Children's provides the highest acuity care to children in the state. That, along with his love of the area, made accepting a career opportunity at Phoenix Children's an easy decision.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, Dr. Jerman completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida Hospital. By the time his residency was finished, he realized that he wanted to work specifically with children. He then pursued a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Ohio.

Treating patients during some of their most fearful moments is a responsibility that Dr. Jerman views as an honor. He strives to provide the quality of care he would want for his own children, while instilling hope and peace in his patients and their families.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Jerman serves as a clinical associate professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. He is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Creighton University School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Jerman enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. They love being outside -- riding bikes and motorcycles or surfing behind a boat on the lake.
