As the youngest of 10 children, pediatrician Amy Shoptaugh, MD, has always enjoyed being around kids. When it came time to choose a career path, she followed in the footsteps of her father, a pediatrician, and her brother, a neonatologist.
A graduate of Arizona State University and the University of Colorado Health Science Center, Dr. Shoptaugh completed her residency at Phoenix Children's. She founded All About Kids Pediatrics in 1998 and practiced there until joining Phoenix Children's in 2020.
Dr. Shoptaugh believes it's important to address the whole person -- mind, body and spirit --along with the social, environmental and biological factors that affect health and well-being. Outside of work, Dr. Shoptaugh enjoys spending time with her spouse and her dogs. An avid reader, she also enjoys traveling to new places. She loves exercising and spending time outdoors enjoying nature or working on her yard.
