Phoenix Children’s Pathology Department is the only full-service clinical laboratory in Arizona dedicated exclusively to children. Our team includes board-certified pathology professionals and specialists with advanced expertise in areas such as genetics, transfusion medicine, infectious disease, biochemistry, and neurologic disorders. We work together with your child’s health providers. Together, we help choose the proper tests, interpret results, and guide next steps.

We provide a wide range of testing and diagnostic services for the extensive network at Phoenix Children’s, from pediatrics to specialty programs. For added convenience, we also coordinate with Sonora Quest Laboratories for specimen collection at select locations. This collaboration ensures seamless access to essential lab services for families and care teams.

Research and Education are integral to our mission to advance pediatric care. Through the Phoenix Children’s Research Institute and partnerships with several national organizations, our teams explore and refine groundbreaking treatments and technologies to develop safe and effective care options for our pediatric patients. The Phoenix Children’s Biorepository catalogs and distributes valuable biologic specimens to support research into a broad array of clinical conditions. We are involved with Children’s Oncology Group clinical trials, the International Pediatric Pathology Association and the Arizona Society of Pathologists Education Committee. These initiatives help transform today’s discoveries into tomorrow’s life-saving treatments.
