Neuropsychology
The neuropsychology team at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital cares for children with medical conditions that affect brain functioning and development. Your child must have a qualifying medical condition and be referred by a physician.
Some examples of qualifying medical conditions include:
- Cancer
- Chromosomal abnormalities and genetic disorders such as Down syndrome
- Concussion
- Conditions requiring neurosurgery (pre- and post-assessment)
- Demyelinating conditions
- Epilepsy
- Fetal alcohol syndrome
- Meningitis
- Movement disorders
- Premature birth
- Stroke
- Transplant
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
We can offer care and guidance to help these children with memory, thinking (cognitive), coordination, learning and other challenges as they grow and learn.
