During your hospital stay, we make it easy to stay in contact with family and friends. Both our Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Thomas Campus and Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Arrowhead Campus have internet connections and other tools to help you communicate with others.

How Do I Make a Call at Phoenix Children’s?

Families can make local phone calls from patient rooms. Dial 9 to access an outside line.

You can only make long-distance calls with a pre-paid phone card or credit card. If you’re using a credit card, dial 0 for operator assistance.

To locate the nearest pay phone, please ask a nurse for directions.

Your child’s bedside phone has a printed label with the room’s phone number. To call your child’s room, dial that number. You can also call the hospital’s main number at 602-933-1000 (Thomas campus) or 623-471-0100 (Arrowhead campus) and give the patient’s name.

What if I Have a Weak Cell Signal?

You may find you have a weak cellular signal at our Arrowhead Campus. To make and receive calls, you may need to enable Wi-Fi calling on your device. Wi-Fi calling allows you to make and receive calls using a Wi-Fi network instead of your cellular connection.
