PHOENIX [February 19, 2026] Phoenix Children’s today announced it has reached a multi-year agreement with Cigna Healthcare, ensuring thousands of Arizona families with Cigna Healthcare insurance will continue to have uninterrupted in-network access to Phoenix Children’s nationally recognized pediatric care. Under the agreement, children covered by Cigna Healthcare can continue receiving comprehensive services at Phoenix Children’s more than 50 locations statewide, including inpatient, outpatient, trauma, surgical, emergency, urgent and primary care.

“At Phoenix Children’s, it’s important to us that children maintain access to the healthcare they need from the doctors and care teams they trust,” said Phoenix Children’s President and CEO John R. Nickens IV. “We’re proud to reach this proactive agreement with Cigna that demonstrates our shared commitment to the well-being of Arizona families and partnership between health plans and providers.”

“We are committed to the health of the families we serve, and ensuring they have access to specialized care is central to that commitment,” said Pete Chuchro, general manager for Cigna Healthcare’s group employer business in Arizona. “This agreement reflects our strong relationship with Phoenix Children’s and our dedication to helping families across Arizona thrive.”

The agreement, effective Feb. 1, 2026, ensures Arizona families covered by Cigna Healthcare through an employer will continue to receive care at Phoenix Children’s at in-network benefit levels across the full continuum of pediatric services.
