For the fifth consecutive year, Phoenix Children’s has been named among the “Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America” by Healthiest Employers® for its investment in employee health and wellbeing. The health system ranked No. 62 alongside some of the nation’s largest and most recognizable organizations who share a commitment to workplace wellness.

“Five years of national recognition affirms what we’ve built — a culture that truly puts people first,” said Kety Duron, senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “We continue to evolve and expand our wellness programs to reflect the diverse needs of our workforce, ensuring each team member feels valued, supported and inspired in the important work they do each day.”

Phoenix Children’s offers a wide range of resources and programs designed to promote physical, mental and emotional well-being. These include an onsite Wellness Center with fitness equipment, monthly yoga classes and relaxation spaces, onsite mental health services, family planning support as well as personalized nutrition and fitness guidance. Employees also have access to a virtual wellness platform that integrates with wearable devices and rewards healthy behaviors through an incentive-based program. The health system uses employee feedback to refine its wellness programs. This creates a culture that evolves alongside its people and prioritizes care not only for patients, but for those who make that care possible.

Scoring for the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America is based on the Healthiest Employers assessment, which evaluates organizations across six core areas: Culture and Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communications and Marketing, Programming and Interventions and Reporting and Analytics.

Phoenix Children’s continued investment in employee health is a part of a broader vision to set the standard for exceptional workplace culture in healthcare. Earlier this year, the health system was recognized among the top five healthiest employers by Phoenix Business Journal in the extra-large firms category.
