Phoenix Children's and Cigna Reach Tentative Agreement
Phoenix Children’s and Cigna announced the two organizations reached a tentative agreement yesterday as contract discussions continue. While the contract is being finalized, Phoenix Children’s remains an in-network provider for families with Cigna employer-sponsored health coverage.
“Phoenix Children’s is steadfast in our commitment to provide the highest quality healthcare to our growing community,” said Robert L. Meyer, President and CEO of Phoenix Children’s. “Thoughtful and purposeful agreements between payers and providers help ensure families can access the exceptional care they need, closer to home, and we look forward to finalizing our contract with Cigna in the near term.”
“We are committed to ensuring that all those we serve have access to high quality, affordable health care services in their community,” said Kim Shepard, General Manager, Cigna Arizona. “Phoenix Children’s is a valued provider partner and we look forward to finalizing our agreement with them to ensure the families we jointly serve can continue to benefit from their services.”
Phoenix Children’s will continue to offer comprehensive pediatric healthcare services for Cigna members, including inpatient care, outpatient care, physician and ancillary providers, imaging, laboratory tests, surgery, emergency department care, specialty and urgent care centers, as well as other Phoenix Children’s facilities and services.
