About Alexandra C. Idrovo, MD

Alexandra Idrovo, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Nephrology. As a pediatric nephrologist at Phoenix Children's, Dr. Idrovo is committed to helping children with chronic kidney disease reach their full potential. She has specialized training to diagnose and treat children with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, as well as those who need renal replacement therapy.

Dr. Idrovo earned her medical degree from the University of Guayaquil. She completed her pediatric residency at Cook County Health in Chicago, Illinois. She went on to complete a pediatric nephrology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Idrovo is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Idrovo is the recipient of several awards, including being recognized as a "Top Doc", which is awarded for best pediatric care, and was awarded the best pediatric research abstract by a physician from the International Dialysis Congress.

As a lecturer and publisher, Dr. Idrovo has presented at national and international conferences. She published research in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and the Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging.
