About Alexis R. Tovar, MD

Alexis Tovar, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist specializing in care for newborns through young adults.

After earning her medical degree at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, Dr. Tovar completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Arizona and then a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She is certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology and holds American Red Cross certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support.

Dr. Tovar is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Medical Association, the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia and the Arizona Medical Association. Dr. Tovar contributes to advancing her field by contributing to research and education through articles published in professional journals and presentations given at professional meetings and conferences.

When she's not working, Dr. Tovar enjoys attending concerts and travel.
