About Alissa L. Nickerson, AuD
Alissa Nickerson, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA, is a clinical audiologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of childhood hearing loss. She participates in the multidisciplinary Cochlear Implant Team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Dr. Nickerson graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences before continuing on to obtain her Doctorate of Audiology. Before moving to the Valley, she extended her training with a hospital-based externship and employment at a private practice in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Nickerson is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. She has publications in the areas of post-baccalaureate audiology training and amplification profiles of pediatric cochlear implant users.
