About Anne M. Cardinal, LCSW

Anne Marie Cardinal, LCSW joined Phoenix Children's Hospital in 2016 and brings her varied experience to her role as mental health therapist in the Homeless Youth Outreach Program. She earned her B.A. in Sociology/Social Work from Siena College in upstate New York and relocated to Arizona in 1984 to pursue a Master's in Social Work at Arizona State University. She completed her degree in 1986 with a focus on clinical work with the special populations of the Southwest. She is experienced in providing clinical services across a variety of populations in both rural and urban areas. Her prior clinical work includes coordinating a child sexual abuse project, working with adults with trauma histories and serious mental illness, providing individual and group Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services, and coordinating a school-based mental health project to improve access to care. She is passionate about working with LGBTQ adolescent and young adults seeking specialized gender affirming services and general services for mood/anxiety disorders, family/couple discord, and trauma.
