About Artemiy Kokhanov, MD
As a neonatologist at Phoenix Children's, Artemiy Kokhanov, MD, cares for babies born prematurely or needing special medical care.
Dr. Kokhanov earned his medical degree at the A.I. Evdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry in Moscow, Russia. After immigrating to the United States, he completed a pediatric residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, where he was chief resident. Dr. Kokhanov completed his fellowship in neonatal and perinatal medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Kokhanov is certified in general pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Knowing the importance of research in discovering new treatments and improving lives, Dr. Kokhanov actively participates in research that helps improve the quality and delivery of care. He has published in a variety of professional journals and presented at national conferences and meetings.
When he's not working, Dr. Kokhanov enjoys swimming, hiking, listening to music and watching classic movies.
