About Bryce E. Pasko, MD
Bryce Pasko, MD, is the medical director of transfusion medicine services at Phoenix Children's. Previously, he was the associate medical director of transfusion services at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora. He came to Phoenix Children's for its high level of patient care and the opportunity to be part of offering patients new and advanced therapies.
Crediting mentorship during his first career in sales and telecommunications, Dr. Pasko followed his true passion and pursued pediatric transfusion medicine. After earning his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Dr. Pasko completed a clinical pathology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and a transfusion medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Joint Program in Transfusion Medicine in Boston.
Dr. Pasko is certified in transfusion medicine and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Apheresis, the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies, the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Peers at Children's Hospital Colorado recognized his excellence in clinical practice and patient care, naming him Provider of the Month in August 2020. He also received the University of Colorado Department of Pathology Summit Award for teaching excellence.
Through research, Dr. Pasko focuses on making and sharing discoveries that improve children's lives. He is published in numerous professional journals and has been an invited lecturer at professional meetings and conferences.
When it comes to patient care, Dr. Pasko meets patients and families where they are. He focuses on understanding their needs and concerns in order to help guide them on a path to optimal health.
When he is not working, Dr. Pasko enjoys volunteering to give back to the community. He is also an avid weightlifter, hiker and audiobook lover.
