About Charlotte M. Schwalbach, PNP

Pediatric nurse practitioner Charlotte Schwalbach, PNP, specializes in bone marrow transplants. Her approach to care centers on developing relationships with patients and their families. These connections are essential for understanding the family's goals and expectations for care.

Charlotte always imagined a career working with children. Caring for patients and families as a registered nurse at Phoenix Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders inspired her to become a nurse practitioner. She has devoted her career to families facing the challenges of cancer and blood disorders.

"The resilience, strength and perseverance of children inspires me," Charlotte says. "They are so fun! I love watching kids in the playroom and helping them prank other healthcare staff, all while getting treatment."

Charlotte values Phoenix Children's family-centered approach to care. She believes if a family is well cared for and supported, they can better care for and support their child. "I enjoy watching patients and families achieve better health and wellness after treatment."

In her free time, Charlotte enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking and swimming.
