About Claire E.G. Coronado, MD
Claire Coronado, MD, is a pediatrician at Phoenix Children's Pediatrics who provides comprehensive, preventative healthcare for children and adolescents. She combines evidence-based treatments with a caring approach and focuses on helping patients enjoy the best health possible.
Dr. Coronado earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. She completed her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children's, where she was named Intern Resident of the Year. In recent years, Dr. Coronado led research and quality improvement projects on topics including anemia screening, false penicillin allergies and the benefits of kangaroo care (skin-to-skin contact for newborns). She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Women's Association.
In her free time, Dr. Coronado enjoys spending time with her family, chasing scenic trails on a hike and whipping up new recipes in the kitchen.
