About Colby S. Sharlin, MD

Colby S. Sharlin, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Sharlin has specialized training to treat and diagnose children of all ages with a wide range of conditions and diseases of the digestive tract. He has a particular interest and clinical focus in allergy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Sharlin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix. He completed his pediatrics residency training at Phoenix Children's and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. In addition, Dr. Sharlin holds a graduate certificate in clinical and translational research from the University of Cincinnati.

Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Sharlin is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition; the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; and the American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders, among others. Dr. Sharlin has had peer-reviewed research published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Current Gastroenterology Reports. He has presented his research findings at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and other notable medical conferences.

Dr. Sharlin serves as an assistant clinical professor of child health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.

In his free time, Dr. Sharlin enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his wife and their dog.
