As a pediatric dermatologist, Daniela Russi, MD, cares for kids with skin conditions and diseases.
Dr. Russi fell in love with Arizona while completing a fellowship at Phoenix Children's after spending several years in Chicago for medical training. It's been her home ever since.
Growing up, Dr. Russi loved spending time at the hospital with her grandfather, a cardiologist. She always knew she wanted to be a pediatrician, and her passion for photography and her visual learning ability led her to the field of dermatology.
After earning her medical degree at the University of Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Russi completed a dermatology residency at the University Hospital Pedro Ernesto, also in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In Chicago, she completed an international pediatric dermatology fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children's Hospital) and a pediatric residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She then completed a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Russi is certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is also certified by the Brazilian Society of Dermatology. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
Understanding the importance of advancing her field through research and education, Dr. Russi has contributed to numerous professional publications and has presented at international and national meetings.
Dr. Russi believes everyone has a story that includes struggles. That's why she takes time to listen to patients and families, and cares for them as she would her own family.
When she's not working, Dr. Russi enjoys photography and spending time in nature. She also enjoys sailing and traveling to foreign countries.

Our experience was very good. Dr Daniela Russi did a tremendous job of addressing all of our concerns. She was very easy to talk with and explained everything in term we could understand. It is obvious that she is very passionate about her patients, and about helping them.

Absolutely love the Phoenix Children's Hospital. All the challenges we have faced with our littles ones have been handle with care and support. We were explained everything in detail and even had are questions listened to and answered. No complaints here!
We had a great experience from the moment the MA, Sam, called my daughter's name in the waiting room. She was so sweet with my 5 year old while she took her vitals and got us settled into a room. And then Dr. Russi and her team were fabulous! Not only did Dr. Russi make my daughter's day by bringing her stickers and a little rubber duck, but she was engaging and sweet with my daughter while examining her and answering all my questions. She spent lots of time with us addressing all my skin related concerns, and her team supported with detailed, complete documentation and tips for obtaining the special body wash we need. I thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent with us and left feeling confident about our plan for the dry winter months. And my daughter LOVED stopping by the treasure tower with a coin on the way out. She can't wait to come back! This was a really wonderful experience from arrival through discharge at the derm clinic - we're so grateful!

I really appreciate how Dr. Russi made my daughter feel like a priority during our visit. She showed genuine concern about how her skin condition can affect her in the future. She explained everything clearly, and even took the time to point another area of concern along with a treatment plan for it. I love how dermatology was able to coordinate with gynecology. I have never experienced this before, and it felt very patient focused.
