About Darcey M. Winterland, MD
Pediatrician Darcey Winterland, MD, credits her mother, who worked in oncology and preventive healthcare for nearly 50 years, as her inspiration for the doctor she is today.
She completed her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and her residency at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Winterland loves seeing patients take pride in their health and feel confident about achieving and maintaining overall wellness. She appreciates how Phoenix Children's honors the spirit of the children they care for.
"I get to be the pediatrician who can take time to get on the floor with her patients to play," she says. "Phoenix Children's allow us to be human and remember who we are as people."
Her greatest joys are her husband, three children and every minute they spend together. As a sports lover, Dr. Winterland always has a team to cheer on, whether it's her daughter's softball team, or her beloved Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears or Arizona Wildcats. She also likes to cook, hike, travel, watch movies, read, garden and spend time with friends.
