About David W. Tellez, MD
David W. Tellez, MD, FAAP, FCCM, is a pediatric critical care medicine physician at Phoenix Children's and treats children of all ages.
After earning his undergraduate degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Dr. Tellez graduated with his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in La Jolla, CA. He completed his internship and residency training in pediatrics at Phoenix Children's Hospital Affiliated Pediatric Program in Phoenix, and a fellowship in pediatric intensive care medicine at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in Los Angeles.
Dr. Tellez is board certified in pediatric critical care and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is an associate clinical professor in the Department of Child Health at the University of Arizona and has been honored as attending physician of the month at Phoenix Children's. A frequent presenter at the Critical Care Congress hosted by the Society of Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Tellez' research abstracts have been recognized for excellence and achievement in critical care practice.
In his free time, Dr. Tellez volunteers and spends time with his family.
