About Jaclyn A. Irwin, MD
Jaclyn Irwin, MD, is an anesthesiologist who is part of the craniofacial and idiopathic spine teams at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Irwin is passionate about caring for children and was drawn to Phoenix Children's because of its stellar reputation for providing high-quality pediatric care.
After earning her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska, Dr. Irwin completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She then completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
Dr. Irwin is board certified in pediatric anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology. She is also affiliated with the American Society of Anesthesiology and Society for Pediatric Anesthesiology.
Having orthopedic surgery as a teenager influenced her decision to pursue medicine. In her practice, Dr. Irwin strives to make the operating room less scary and the surgical experience less stressful for patients and their families.
Outside of work, Dr. Irwin enjoys reading, quilting, exercising and traveling.
