Jacqueline Lizardo Guzman, ARNP, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in providing the care of premature and fragile infants. "I find it an honor to be part of a family's life during their child's time in the NICU," Jacqueline says.
When Jacqueline was young, her father - "my hero as a child" - suffered an injury that required months of hospitalization and therapy. The nurses who helped him recover were the ones who inspired her to pursue nursing as a vocation.
Although Jacqueline cared for newborns, new mothers and women early in her career, NICU babies and their families captured her heart. Becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner was the natural next step of this passion.
Outside of the NICU, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children doing science experiments. She also loves gardening and hiking.
