About Jared M. Gilliland, DDS
Jared Gilliland, DDS, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Phoenix Children's. His specialized practice focuses on correcting congenital, developmental and acquired surgical problems of the mouth, jaws, face and temporomandibular joints (TMJ), as well as facial trauma management.
Dr. Gilliland's interest in healthcare was sparked during a medical mission trip to Belize, where he treated children with craniofacial abnormalities.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Baylor University in Texas and his dental training at Baylor College of Dentistry. He then went on to complete his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Gilliland's comprehensive maxillofacial surgery expertise encompasses orthognathic surgery and jaw corrections for conditions including overbite, underbite, open bite, crossbite and malocclusion. He treats patients experiencing jaw pain, limited opening, jaw clicking and popping and provides temporomandibular joint surgery and replacement procedures. His practice also includes surgical management of jaw cysts, jaw tumors and other pathologic conditions, along with comprehensive facial fracture repair and reconstruction.
Dr. Gilliland is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Outside of work, Dr. Gilliland enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and children.
