About Jeffrey W. Hanson, MD

Jeffrey Hanson, MD, is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist with special interests in acute pain and regional anesthesia. He currently serves as the director of Cardiac Anesthesia Section as well as a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology.

After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, he completed both his Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Hanson then completed a Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship through the Mayo Clinic at Nemours Children's Health in Florida.

Dr. Hanson is board certified in Anesthesia and Pediatric Anesthesia. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Arizona Medical Association, Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists, Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society and Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine.

Since 2004, Dr. Hanson has participated in medical research. His research topics vary - more recently centering on pediatric pain management and anesthesia. His work has been published in respected journals and presented at medical conferences.

Outside his practice, Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. They like to travel, camp, hike, play basketball and simply relax together at home.
