About Joshua A. Spiro, MD
Joshua Spiro, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Phoenix Children's.
After earning his undergraduate degree from New York University in New York City, Dr. Spiro graduated with his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. He completed his medical training in Philadelphia, with a categorical anesthesiology residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Spiro is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in anesthesiology and in pediatric anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia.
Dr. Spiro has published research in peer-reviewed publications including Anaesthesia, Anaesthesia Reports, Journal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology, Current Opinion in Anesthesiology and Translational Perioperative and Pain Medicine. In addition, Dr. Spiro has presented research at the annual conference of the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Child Health at the University of Arizona.
In his free time, Dr. Spiro enjoys spending time with his wife, reading science fiction and dancing.
