About Kayla R. Andersen, MD
Rose Andersen, MD, is a general pediatrician at Phoenix Children's Pediatrics. Dr. Andersen provides medical services that include preventive medicine, developmental surveillance and vaccinations for newborns, children and teenagers. She also treats a broad range of acute and chronic pediatric health conditions and coordinates specialist care for children with complex medical needs
Dr. Andersen graduated summa cum laude with honors from the University of Arizona College of Engineering in Tucson, Arizona, with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. She earned her Doctor of Medicine with distinction in research from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, also in Tucson. Dr. Andersen completed her medical training in pediatrics through the Phoenix Children's Pediatric Residency Program Alliance in Phoenix.
While in medical school, Dr. Andersen was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She was also honored with the Dr. Alan & Sally Bedrick Scholarship in Pediatrics and the Hugh G. Thompson, MD Award for Excellence in Pediatrics.
Dr. Andersen enjoys spending her free time hiking, disc golfing, rollerblading, reading, working on pyrography and caring for her collection of plants.
