Children are a joy to work with, and it is a privilege to work together with their families to help them navigate through the condition that brought them to Phoenix Children’s. My hope is that I can provide a listening ear and encouragement throughout every family’s experience at our clinic.

About Lauren F. Loeffler, MD

Lauren F. Loeffler, MD, is a pediatric nephrologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Loeffler is a specialist in the treatment of pediatric kidney disorders including hypertension, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury and nephrotic syndrome.

After graduating cum laude with her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Loeffler earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, also in Memphis. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.

In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Loeffler also earned a Master of Health Science in Clinical Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. Dr. Loeffler is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.

In her free time, Dr. Loeffler enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, camping and visiting national parks with her family. She also volunteers with local children's literacy efforts.
