About Michael A. Perlstein, MD
Pediatrician Michael A. Perlstein, MD, realized he enjoyed guiding and mentoring children while working as a summer camp counselor as a teen. His father, a cardiologist, inspired his career in medicine. He observed that despite his dad working long and demanding shifts, he had an unwavering love of his work.
Dr. Perlstein received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota.
With Phoenix Children's, he found an organization that matched his goals in providing complete care for children. He serves as a physician lead in the Phoenix Children's outpatient program and has served 10 years on the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics board.
Working closely with the families, he hopes to help shape a child's development, instilling a strong sense of self-confidence and self-esteem.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Perlstein loves spending time with his wife, three kids and multiple pets, and coaching soccer. He also has a passion for movies.

We love Dr. Michael Perlstein. He spends time with us, listens to our concerns and has an excellent rapport with the children. He addresses any of our issues, carefully explaining medications and their effects. All our babies have Dr. Perlstein as their primary care physician.

Dr Mike has been a godsend for our children and family. He is knowledgeable, practical, and very personable. Our children receive excellent care because of him and his staff. The change to primary children's has increased the level of bureaucracy we deal with, but his level of care hasn't changed.
