About Oliver J. Walters, FNP
Oliver J. Walters, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in otolaryngology (ENT) at Phoenix Children's. Oliver treats children with general and urgent ENT concerns, including recurrent ear and throat infections, snoring, sleep apnea, ankyloglossia (tongue tie), nosebleeds, otorrhea (ear drainage) and foreign objects in the ear and nose. His clinical focus is caring for children and young adults with tracheostomies. In 2025, he helped establish a combined clinic with pulmonology at Phoenix Children's dedicated to treating individuals with tracheostomies.
Oliver earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University and then earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Global. He is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and is a member of the Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head-Neck Nurses.
Before specializing in pediatric otolaryngology, Oliver worked as a nurse practitioner in pediatric urgent care. He spent his early career as a registered nurse in pediatric home healthcare working with medically fragile children dependent on ventilators and tracheostomies, which solidified his passion for working with that patient population.
A native of Yuma, Arizona, Oliver enjoys spending his free time doing outdoor activities with his wife and two sons, along with reading, woodworking and watching the Arizona Diamondbacks.

We are very pleased that the provider was able to get the tube out of my son's ear that was stuck in there. He took great care and exhausted a couple of different attempts and avenues to get it out and he did so successfully. We're incredibly happy and grateful for that.
Excellent service and staff
Oliver was very patient and informative; answered all of my grandson's and my questions. I feel he was very gently frank with my grandson which was very appreciated and I believe helped alleviate a lot of fear of the upcoming procedure. Oliver is a great asset to your team.

Oliver was an amazing PA. He was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. He listened to every question my son had and explained everything to him. He was patient and kind. He was also very honest. My son asked about the numbing nose spray and Oliver said it burns a little and the second one tastes bad. Most doctors and adults would just say, 'oh, it's not bad.' I really appreciate how Oliver was honest with my son. He explained the procedure in a way that my son could easily understand. I would highly recommend Oliver.
