About Patrick D. Rowland, MD
Patrick Rowland, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Phoenix Children's with a specific focus in transplant hepatology. With his specialized training, he is highly skilled in the management of liver diseases and conditions that require transplant surgery.
After graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Rowland earned his medical degree from University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences in Toledo, Ohio. He finished his residency training in pediatrics at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, before completing fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio, and pediatric transplant hepatology at Seattle Children's Hospital in Washington.
Dr. Rowland is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Transplant Hepatology, the American Board of Pediatric Gastroenterology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the Society of Pediatric Liver Transplantation and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. He has presented at conferences including the ImproveCareNow Community Conference as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition Section on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Program.
Dr. Rowland is a sports and fitness enthusiast, who enjoys spending his free time with his two sons.
