Patrick E. Saunders, MD, is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Phoenix Children's.
Dr. Saunders graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, before completing a pre-medical program and earning his medical degree from the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Saunders completed his orthopedic residency training at Phoenix Children's and the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix.
In his free time, Dr. Saunders enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, traveling and cycling.

Our experience was incredibly positive from beginning to end. The check in staff were sweet and helpful and Natalie took a great picture of my (less than cooperative) 6 year old. Breegan was so patient and gentle taking her vitals and engaged beautifully with my daughter. And Dr. Saunders was just the kind of doctor you would want for your kiddo! Kind, thorough, intelligent, skilled, and fun - he was assessing my child's injury but she thought she was just playing with him. And he answered all of my questions and provided the documentation we needed. The entire appointment was efficient, the facility was clean, and my daughter was thrilled to get a prize at the end. We had a great experience and look forward to our follow-up next month!
