Rebecca Paredes Williams, LCSW

Rebecca Paredes Williams, LCSW, is a mental health therapist at Phoenix Children's. She provides outpatient therapy for children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, trauma-related concerns and behavioral challenges.

Much of Rebecca's work focuses on helping children and families navigate the emotional impacts of chronic (long-lasting) neurological conditions. She has experience supporting patients with epilepsy, functional neurological disorder, psychogenic nonepileptic seizures, migraines, Tourette syndrome, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays and cerebral palsy.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work, both from Arizona State University in Tempe. She is a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience in behavioral health, medical social work and child welfare. Before her current role, she served as a social worker at Phoenix Children's.

By working closely with neurologists, advanced practice providers, nurses and other specialists, Rebecca provides coordinated, compassionate mental health care. She stays current with the latest research and incorporates new techniques to help children and families thrive. Her evidence-based treatment approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, reading, relaxing by the pool and staying active.
