About Tyler N. Brown, MD

Tyler N. Brown, MD, FAAP, is a pediatric cardiac intensivist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Brown has extensive training in pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine. He has experience diagnosing and treating heart conditions that affect children by the use of both medical therapies and advanced mechanical circulatory support.

Dr. Brown graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree from Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, Arizona, before earning his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He completed his residency training in pediatrics at the University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Brown continued his medical training with a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he served as chief fellow, as well as a fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

Board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology and board eligible in pediatric critical care by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Brown is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Additionally, he is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Brown has published research advancing the field of pediatric cardiology and cardiac critical care with publications in journals including the Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, the Journal of the American Heart Association and the Journal of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He has been an invited presenter at conferences, including the National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative Learning Session and the American College of Cardiology/World Congress of Cardiology Annual Meeting.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time traveling, hiking, and biking with his family.
