About Vincent J. Palmieri, MD
Vincent Palmieri, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Palmieri has extensive training to diagnose and treat conditions caused by the heart's electrical system, including arrhythmias.
Dr. Palmieri graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the Honors College at the College of Charleston and earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, both in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed a residency in categorical pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Palmieri continued his training in Atlanta with fellowships in pediatric cardiology and interventional electrophysiology, also at Emory University School of Medicine and at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Heart Center.
Dr. Palmieri is board certified in general pediatrics, with a subspecialty in pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Pediatric & Congenital Electrophysiology Society, as well as the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Palmieri also serves as the medical director for the Phoenix/Northern Arizona affiliate of Project Adam, a program that educates and trains schools and communities to respond in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
In his free time, Dr. Palmieri enjoys traveling with his family, as well as staying active outdoors by hiking, playing golf and playing tennis.
