About Yuliya Yermolina, MD

Yuliya Yermolina, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist.

Dr. Yermolina joined Phoenix Children's because she was impressed with its stellar record of providing exceptional patient care. The same colleagues Dr. Yermolina admired at Phoenix Children's soon became her supporters, mentors and friends. She enjoys working in this warm, collaborative and effective environment.

After earning her medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Yermolina completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Michigan, C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.

Dr. Yermolina holds a pediatric anesthesiology board certification through the American Board of Anesthesiology, where she also serves as a diplomat. In addition, she is affiliated with the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, the American Society for Anesthesiologists and the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Yermolina is committed to advancing medicine within her field through research and teaching. She's had several papers published and she enjoys teaching and sharing her expertise with anesthesiology residents and fellows in the operating room.

Every doctor has a reason for wanting to go into medicine. For Dr. Yermolina, it was a health scare during her childhood. When she was 12 years old, she nearly died from complications of appendicitis. It was a long and difficult recovery. She knew then and there that she wanted to help others the way her medical team helped her.

Dr. Yermolina gives every patient the care she would want for herself and is committed to partnering with patients and families to develop a care plan that best serves them.

Dr. Yermolina is an avid hiker and loves spending time outdoors in the Phoenix Mountain Preserves. She also participates in a mountain biking group with friends from work.
