Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency

The Medical Genetics & Genomics Residency is a two-year residency where residents will have weekly didactic sessions in pediatrics or genetics, depending on the rotation.  Residents will also have Genetics Clinic as part of their residency.

Residents will have the opportunity to rotate to several different sites in addition to Phoenix Children’s: 

  • Mayo Clinic Arizona (Scottsdale, AZ): residents will participate in adult medical genetics and cancer genetics clinics with an internal medicine geneticist and cancer clinics staffed by genetic counselors and oncologists.
  • Children’s Hospital Colorado (Univ. of Colorado, Anschutz Campus): will provide biochemical laboratory and molecular genetics training experiences.
  • St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (Phoenix, AZ): will provide cytogenetics laboratory training.
