Zorash Montano, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been part of the Consultation-Liaison (C-L) team at Phoenix Children’s since 2020. She completed her doctoral degree at Arizona State University, her clinical internship at Boston Children’s Hospital, and her post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. She is a native Spanish-speaker. She has become passionate about working with patients with functional neurological disorder (FND) through her work on the C-L team. Through this interest, she collaborated with stakeholders across the hospital to create an FND Clinical Guideline to guide and standardize the care we provide to patients with FND. Additionally, she has delivered multiple didactics and talks on FND across the hospital. Dr. Montano has been an active member of the Arizona Psychological Association serving as the Early Career Psychologists representative since 2022. She is also a member of the Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder Special Interest Group through the Society of Pediatric Psychology.

Bianca Roman, DNP, RN, CPNP-PC is a dedicated Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience. She currently practices in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Phoenix Children’s, where she evaluates children with complex rehabilitation needs and works closely with multidisciplinary teams. Previously, she served as an inpatient oncology nurse practitioner and an inpatient hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant registered nurse. Bianca has developed a special clinical interest in supporting patients with functional neurological disorder (FND) as well as advancing cancer rehabilitation to help patients with cancer regain strength and quality of life. Bianca also serves as Chair of the Advanced Practice Provider Service and Community Engagement Committee, where she leads initiatives that connect healthcare professionals with meaningful volunteer opportunities to support patients, families, and local communities. Her professional interests include health equity, patient and family advocacy, and fostering collaboration across healthcare teams.
