Dr. Jason Hauptman is a distinguished pediatric neurosurgeon and division chief of pediatric neurological surgery at Phoenix Children's. Specializing in pediatric neurosurgery, epilepsy and neuro-oncology, he treats complex conditions such as brain tumors, epilepsy, spina bifida and inherited neurological disorders. Dr. Hauptman is a recognized authority in robotic stereo-electroencephalography (sEEG), neuromodulation (including DBS and RNS), laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT) and awake surgery for children. He has an academic focus on brain mapping, pediatric epilepsy genetics and novel drug therapies and he serves as a principal investigator for the Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network.
He has served as a principal investigator for the Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network and held leadership roles at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s. Dr. Hauptman earned his medical degree at Rutgers, a PhD in Neuroscience at UCLA and completed fellowships in neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery.
