At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
Analyze the progressive neurologic and muscle diseases can cause progressive and severe scoliosis.
Recognize that these diseases commonly affect the pulmonary and cardiac systems, which need to be considered when managing the scoliosis.
Compare different methods of treating early-onset neuromuscular scoliosis that are being studied and evaluate the continued investigations that are needed to determine their efficacy.
