Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Analyze the progressive neurologic and muscle diseases can cause progressive and severe scoliosis.
- Recognize that these diseases commonly affect the pulmonary and cardiac systems, which need to be considered when managing the scoliosis.
- Compare different methods of treating early-onset neuromuscular scoliosis that are being studied and evaluate the continued investigations that are needed to determine their efficacy.
