Harlori Bains, MD, is director of pediatric neuroimmunology and a pediatric neurologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Bains is skilled in treating conditions such as pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody disorder, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), acute flaccid myelitis, and autoimmune encephalitis.
Dr. Bains earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, before graduating with her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She completed her medical training in Phoenix with a residency in pediatric neurology at Phoenix Children's and Maricopa Medical Center, serving as chief resident. In addition, she completed a fellowship in neuroimmunology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Bains is a member of the Child Neurology Society and the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. She was an invited presenter at the 2nd Annual Laura L. Sweetman Alumni Lectureship at Phoenix Children's in 2024 and has published research in the peer-reviewed publications including Neurology and mBio.
