Ariel Hierholzer MD is a PGY-4 in Child Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She is originally from Northern California where she completed her undergraduate education at UC Davis with a degree in clinical nutrition. She then relocated over the crystal view of the Sierra Nevadas to finish medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Her interest in child neurology began in her high school years and grew from her subsequent volunteer and social services work for children with autism, epilepsy, and developmental delay. Her clinical and research interests include general neurology, neurophysiology, quality improvement, and rural health.
