Dr. Gibbs graduated from Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine and her pediatric residency at fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She then stayed as faculty at Mount Sinai where she also served as a pediatric clerkship and sub-internship director, associate program director of the residency program and associate director for patient safety for Kravis Children’s Hospital. She transitioned to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2017, where she is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. She is currently the Medical Director for the Newborn/Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program which was established in 2010 to provide multi-disciplinary care for infants with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia. In addition, she is the Medical Director for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the Newborn/Infant Intensive Care unit.
