Preeti Jaggi, MD
Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University
Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
Dr. Jaggi completed her medical degree at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, residency in pediatrics at Loyola University and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Northwestern University. Dr. Jaggi is a Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University and Medical director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
She has been an advocate to decrease greenhouse gas emissions in her local community, school districts and at the state level as a steering committee member with Georgia Clinicians for Climate Action. She co-founded “Decatur Cares about Climate” to educate and provide concrete action in Decatur, GA, which resulted in a clean energy plan for her city and local school system. She has published in the area of healthcare sustainability in her current position as Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Sustainability at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. She is an American Academy of Pediatrics Climate Advocate representing the state of Georgia. Dr. Jaggi has advocated with Georgia Clinicians for Climate Action to several state agencies, such as the Public Service Commission, as well as to state and federal lawmakers. She has completed training with the Climate Health Center for Health Equity, Education and Advocacy/Cambridge Health Alliance.
