Jamie Fleming, MD, D.ABA is a Phoenix native and serves as the Section Chief of Pain Medicine and Director of Interventional Pain at Phoenix Children’s. She graduated from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University with a degree in finance and subsequently completed a post-baccalaureate research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her anesthesiology residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she served as chief resident and developed a leadership curriculum for the residency program. She went on to complete fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology and adult and pediatric chronic pain medicine at Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado.
Dr. Fleming is board certified in anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, and pain medicine. Her clinical and academic interests focus on advancing the field of pediatric pain through innovative interventional approaches, multidisciplinary care models, and the development of programs that expand access to specialized pain care. She has published in journals including Pediatric Anaesthesia and Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy. Outside of medicine, she enjoys international travel, running and weight training, great coffee, and discovering exceptional dining experiences.

Sean J. Gamble, MD

Sean J. Gamble, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist and board certified pain management physician who completed additional sub specialized training in the management of acute, chronic, and interventional pain medicine for children.
Joining the Phoenix Children's team was an easy choice, as it boasts the only Pediatric Pain Medicine Program in Arizona and the Southwest. Dr. Gamble enjoys providing patients with an interdisciplinary approach - this includes evidence-based, patient focused treatments and therapies to ease pain, improve function, reduce dependence on medications, and enhance quality of life for children. He takes great pride in his team's constant improvement in patient services and quality of care.
After earning his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine, Netherlands Antilles, Dr. Gamble completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He went on to complete two fellowships - one through Harvard Medical School and the other through the University of Southern California.
Dr. Gamble is affiliated with several professional groups, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Arizona Society of Anesthesiologist, International Anesthesia Research Society, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, Society for Pediatric Pain Management and Spine Intervention Society.
Improving knowledge in the field of pediatric pain management is also important to Dr. Gamble. He has conducted research on neuromodulation and shared his findings in respected medical journals.
When not at work, Dr. Gamble values spending time with his wife and kids. They enjoy boating, traveling and playing every opportunity they get.
