Session Objectives:

• Recognize key clinical signs, maternal risk factors, and laboratory markers that guide the diagnosis of early- and late-onset neonatal sepsis.
• Apply current guidelines and institutional protocols to select appropriate empiric and definitive antibiotic regimens for neonates with suspected or confirmed sepsis.
• Demonstrate an understanding of antibiotic stewardship principles by making informed decisions about initiating, narrowing, or discontinuing antibiotics in the neonatal population.
