The Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency Program is a two-year residency program providing rotations in inpatient Genetics, cytogenetics, biochemical/molecular, and molecular genetics lab, prenatal, adult genetics, as well as dedicated blocks for research. MGG continuity clinics will occur one-half day per week during residency.
In addition to Phoenix Children’s, residents will have the opportunity to rotate to several different sites:
- Mayo Clinic Arizona (Scottsdale, AZ): Residents will participate in adult medical genetics and cancer genetics clinics with an internal medicine geneticist and cancer clinics staffed by genetic counselors and oncologists.
- Children’s Hospital Colorado (University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, CO) will provide biochemical laboratory and molecular genetics training experiences.
- St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (Phoenix, AZ) will provide cytogenetics laboratory training.
